Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Slaps Down Troll For Trying To ‘Birther’ Her

Has there ever been an elected official who created more headlines before even taking office than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? The incoming Congresswoman from New York has progressives excited for the future but also has a talent for enraging conservatives like no one else. Her very existence seems to irritate them to an incredible degree and she has faced harsh attacks from the start.

To repeat: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hasn’t even started her job yet.

Nevertheless conservatives continue to buzz around her like angry horseflies and AOC has taken to swatting them down on Twitter with extreme prejudice.

Among other things, Ocasio-Cortez has faced criticism from trembling conservatives that she can’t possibly be a champion of the working class because she grew up in a house and not in a shoebox or something.

In the latest example of this, Ocasio-Cortez pushed back at a critic who took aim at her background, accusing him of “mansplaining *my own childhood* and life to me.”

When TV host John Cardillo chimed in to support Ocasio-Cortez’s critics AOC remembered him and his efforts to undermine her credibility from an earlier clash, telling Cardillo “You’re not gonna ‘birther’ me now.”
