Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Responds To Dog Meme Trump Jr. Shared About Her

Eldest presidential offspring Donald Trump Jr. posted a meme late Thursday evening of representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez equating socialism with eating dogs.

The meme shows two stacked pictures: On top, an image of Ocasio-Cortez overlaid with text that reads “why are you so afraid of a socialist economy?” and on the bottom, one of the president captioned: “because Americans want to walk their dogs, not eat them.”

Trump Jr. wrote, “It’s funny cuz it’s true!!!” followed by a bunch of emojis.

Ocasio-Cortez and others have noted how the young Congresswoman hasn’t even taken office yet, yet has already come under more fire from the right than even Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. Comments underneath Jr.’s Instagram post were predictably divisive, though many again referenced the GOP’s apparent fear of AOC.

On Friday afternoon, Ocasio-Cortez replied to Trump Jr.’s apparent insult.

“I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up,” she wrote. “Please, keep it coming Jr – it’s definitely a “very, very large brain” idea to troll a member of a body that will have subpoena power in a month. Have fun!”

Robert Mueller is expected to announce new information today regarding the Russia probe.

AOC stans were impressed with the Congresswoman’s swift dunk.

The dog-eating ‘joke’ is a reference to the stereotype of people living in socialist countries being forced to eat dogs as a result of the devastation wrought by the economic policy.

Throughout the midterm elections, Trump repeatedly said that if the Democrats were to gain control of Congress, the United States would “end up being Venezuela“—The implication being that government-funded Democratic policies would lead to poverty levels similar to that of the South American country.

Meanwhile, AOC seems fairly unbothered…
