Chris Evans Slams Donald Trump’s Tweet About Fake News

Chris Evans may be done playing Captain America, but he’s clearly not done being a superhero just yet. The actor blasted President Donald Trump on Twitter after Trump tweeted, yet again, about how the “Fake News Media” is “the true Enemy of the People” and the real problem with America.

“There is great anger in our Country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news. The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame…”

As usual, Trump was not specific about what, exactly, it is that the news is reporting wrong. Did the massacre at the synagogue on Saturday that killed 11 people and injured 6 more not happen? Were the bombs sent to Democratic opponents and outspoken critics of Trump all made up? No, that was all the truth.

Anyway, Chris Evans took to Twitter to mock the President, making fun of his ridiculous and whiny complaint.

Evans wrote, “‘Help! I’ve never done anything wrong in my entire life, but somehow hostility is at an all time high. Just because I kick beehives all day, it’s not MY fault when people get stung! No one has EVER been treated so unfairly. Sad. Also, where’s Obama’s birth certificate?”

Oh, that’s right, remember when Trump, who now seems so opposed to “hostility” went after President Barack Obama mercilessly, demanding to see his birth certificate because he didn’t believe that Obama was born in this country? That certainly wasn’t very “fair,” coming from someone who now demands “fairness” from the media.

People on Twitter got behind Evans in a big way.

Kellyanne Conway stepped in to try to defend Trump (of course), saying “The president is trying to heal the country.” To that, Evans responded by tweeting, “Totally. And when my dog curls one out on the front lawn he’s trying to heal the grass.” Nice one!

Again, people backed Evans on Twitter, letting him know how much they approved of his message.

This isn’t the first time Evans has gone after Trump on Twitter.

And Evans slammed rapper Kanye West when Kanye was acting like a Trump stan, and generally talking about stuff he had no idea about.

Go, Chris Evans!
