So far this month, Donald Trump has attacked his own justice department, accused Democrats who didn’t clap for him at the State of the Union of treason, and threatened to shut down the government (it is February 7th). Now Trump—who’s one garish North-Korea-style military parade short of a dictatorship-would like to have a garish North-Korea-style military parade! In fact, he’s already asked the Defense Department to plan it. He got the idea when he visited France on Bastille Day (next time let’s send him during fashion week) but every kinda figured he’d forgotten about it. Turns out he did not.
Naturally, Twitter couldn’t let the opportunity to roast Trump pass by like so many armed soldiers walking in perfect lockstep formation down Pennsylvania Avenue (just slightly terrifying, right?).
the number of military deferments you take should equal the number of miles you're required to stay away from any military parade— Matt Oswalt (@MattOswaltVA) February 7, 2018
Our 71-year-old President with an approval rating well below 50% is throwing a parade for himself, but please tell me more about how millennials all want “participation trophies”.— (((OhNoSheTwitnt))) (@OhNoSheTwitnt) February 7, 2018
You guys, there's only one way to stop the military parade... pic.twitter.com/WvP1MnIcHa— Aaron Fullerton (@AaronFullerton) February 7, 2018
