Religiously-guided school systems are notorious for their strict education standards. School uniforms, mandatory worship times, and redaction of any deemed “inappropriate” material are among the typical practices. Knowing all of this, it still came as a surprise when one former Christian college attendee shared a textbook he was given in class that was censored to a comical length.
Imgur user scopecreepstudio recently shared photos of a textbook he was given at his previous strict Christian university.
According to his post, the user formerly attended Pensacola Christian College where they run a pretty tight ship. The school’s website lists its mission as “to train young men and women for a life of service to Jesus Christ.”
While the institution supports learning about the arts with a biblical scope, viewing of iconic paintings as their creators originally intended them is a big “no-no.”
Everything MUST be censored. Even baby Jesus.
And the gods who were, as we all know, notorious for wearing board shorts.
Let’s take a closer look, shall we? Nope, no nudity in sight.
Not even a sliver of exposed genitals.
Toddlers were covered with what looks like parachute shorts.
And god forbid, students see Cupid’s backside.
Cleavage definitely isn’t a thing.
No boobs to see here.
And here we have Calvin Klein, the early years.
Michelangelo is screaming from the grave.
The Imgur user also shared his take on the textbook.
And people were floored by the school’s censorship.
