Gay Kid Gets Revenge On Homophobic Mom By Blasting Her “Super-Secret” Meatloaf Recipe Online

If you heard the phrase “revenge meatloaf,” you’d probably assume it has a laxative in it, or something else horrible. You’d avoid it with a ten-foot pole. But there’s a recipe for a revenge loaf that has gone viral for being delicious, and for screwing over a homophobic parent.

It first became widely known after a screenshot was posted to Reddit in r/tumblr, but the original poster on Tumblr wrote, “When I was little my mom’s meatloaf was my favorite food. But ONLY her meatloaf. I didn’t like anyone else’s, and she told me she would teach me how to make it when I was older.

“And when I was like 19? She finally taught me, but she told me never to tell anyone else and I was like weird but okay. Anyway, she was super f**king homophobic and abusive to me when I told her I was gay so here’s the recipe.”

And that’s why it’s a revenge loaf.

Then writer and mom Marjorie Ingall posted the same screenshot to Twitter after her kid, who she says is LGBT, told her about the Revenge Meatloaf. She made it for them:

The tweet went viral, partly because folks love the idea of screwing a homophobic mom out of her secret recipe, partly because folks like debating how a meatloaf should be made:

Be good to your kids, they know exactly how to hurt you.
