Paragliding, much like any extreme sport, comes with inherent risks. Jumping from ridiculous heights and landing safely in one piece back on the ground is a feat accomplished by many, but there’s always the danger of something going wrong.
In addition to worrying about all of the potential technical difficulties that come with paragliding, participants are now also having to protect themselves from wild kangaroo attacks. Or, at least, that’s what happened to this guy.
A viral video shows footage of a man landing safely after paragliding only to have his moment of relief interrupted by a pouncing kangaroo gang.

According to the video’s description, the paraglider didn’t notice the kangaroo until he was only a few feet away and made the mistake of thinking it would be friendly.
“I had been Paragliding cross country for two hours near Canberra and had reached a position where I had to land. It is the last cleared valley where I could safely land, as over the next ridge there is only wilderness and trees. I decided to land on the concrete slab of the old Orroral Space Tracking Station. I was concentrating on the landing and didn’t notice the Kangaroo until after I landed. As it ran towards me I thought it was being friendly so I said ‘What’s Up, Skip?’ It then attacked me twice before hopping away. I packed up my paraglider and had to walk several kilometers to get phone reception and call a friend to come and collect me.”
Of course, this was not the case and people can not stop laughing at the hilarious encounter.
Only in ‘Straya right?
