It was a little over a year ago that Selma Blair announced that she had been diagnosed with MS. Since then, she’s used social media to share her health journey with her followers on Instagram by posting honest, sometimes uncomfortable, but always humor-filled photos of the ups and downs of her condition.

While the majority of responses she receives are positive, she does sometimes get trolls like the ones she received on a recent pantsless selfie that challenged traditional notions of femininity. However, Blair wasn’t bothered by the negativity—in fact, she seemed to find it pretty hilarious from the looks of the responses she left to each of the naysayers.
Seemingly unmoved by those who didn’t like the photo, Selma Blair took a more lighthearted approach to her responses, laughing off the trolls and meeting them with sarcasm and humor that makes you love her even more.
Of course, not all of the comments Selma Blair received on her photo were negative, and many fans actually spoke out in support of her bravery and her willingness to embrace beauty in less conventional forms to inspire others.
“When I see your photos, including this one, I don’t see your booty, or your head, I see an authentic human being who is sharing her wonder with others, and that is both beautiful and inspiring,” one user shared.
Another posted: “We should all be this free and comfortable with who we are and how we look. Along with not caring about what others think of us.”
Whether or not you’re a fan of the pantsless selfie, one thing is for sure: Selma Blair isn’t going to stop posting certain types of photos just because some people don’t like it. Trolls aren’t going to change her, so why even try? The most they’ll get in response is a sarcastic comment. Good for her!
