Adult film star Stormy Daniels (née Stephanie Clifford) and actress/comedian Roseanne Barr are in the midst of a nasty Twitter spat. The quarrel started when Barr — an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump — tweeted on Friday that Daniels is known for a very specific type of bawdy movie.
Barr gave this response to a thread started by Daniels the previous day. Several hours later, Daniels fired back:
“That’s like saying you are known for your beautiful rendition of The Star Spangled Banner,” wrote Daniels, referencing an objectively unbecoming and infamous performance by Barr before a San Diego Padres game in 1990, wherein the actor purposefully (?) sang out of tune, grabbed her crotch, and spat on the field before walking off.

Barr’s tweet about the scenes Daniels is typically “known for” is tacked onto the end of an exchange between actress Patricia Arquette and Twitter user @ChapelHillDiva, the latter of whom wrote that Daniels does “not represent classy women AT ALL!”
Arquette’s response was, “If she doesn’t represent ‘classy women’ I guess that means the President represents classless men? Hmm. Interesting.”
The top comment to Daniels’ comeback was a user contradicting her statement, to which Daniels replied “(Consensual) sexual choices does NOT make someone less of a human.”
Daniels is in the midst of suing Donald Trump over a nondisclosure agreement she signed prior to the 2016 election. She claims Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen paid her $130,000 to keep quiet about their alleged affair — a claim confirmed by Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani earlier this week.
