Texas Lawmaker Uses Pro-Life Logic In Bill That Would Fine Men $100 For Jerkin’ It

Jessica Farrar, a member of the Texas House of Representatives, has introduced a bill that would fine men $100 dollars each time they masturbate as well as impose 24-hour waiting periods to purchase Viagra or get a colonoscopy or vasectomy.

According to Someecards, the legislation, which is called the “A Man’s Right To Know Act” was drafted in reaction to a pamphlet called “A Woman’s Right To Know” that doctors in Texas are required to give to women who want abortions.

The very first sentence of Rep. Farrar’s bill reads:

“An Act relating to the regulation of men ’s health and safety; creating a civil penalty for unregulated masturbatory emissions.”

The bill has been introduced to make a statement about the dangerous and draconian way male politicians have been making decisions about women’s health, rather than to become law, with Farrar telling CNN:

“Let’s look at what Texas has done to women. What if men had to undergo the same intrusive procedures?”

The bill’s introduction comes in the wake of shocking new legislation in Alabama that essentially banned abortion and may set up a Supreme Court challenge to a woman’s right to choose.
