President Donald Trump has once again tweeted a “political” Game of Thrones meme, despite the fact that HBO has requested that he not do that. It’s not like people wanting him not to do things has that ever stopped him before.
The HBO hit show, with which it doesn’t seem Trump is even remotely familiar, at one point used the Stark family motto “Winter Is Coming” in promos. In November, Trump used Game of Thrones imagery to tweet that Iran sanctions were “coming.” In January, it was that “The Wall” was also “coming,” although clearly, no one told him what happens to the actual Wall in the show.
So it was no big surprise when Trump decided to go with a GoT meme on the day Robert Mueller’s report is set to be released, right after Attorney General Willliam Barr’s news conference ended. The President tweeted an image of himself, from behind, surrounded by mist, standing next to words reading, “No Collusion, No Obstruction. For The Haters And The Radical Left Democrats—.” And then, in much bigger type, the words “Game Over” written in the easily recognizable GoT font.

The reaction on Twitter was quick, harsh, and occasionally hilarious, as it always is. The people who responded, that is, the ones who weren’t busy sighing so hard at this ridiculous meme that they accidentally propelled themselves into neighbors’ apartments.
This is so goddamn embarrassing. Our country has become a meme-ified joke, with a president catering only to the brainwashed and incurious among us. https://t.co/QbPmP43Nti

The president wastes no time borrowing HBO's font to issue a divisive 2020 campaign message. https://t.co/hBeEP5tQAW

Just moments after Barr said "no collusion" over and over again, President Trump releases this meme. https://t.co/GlnekrIHjt

In this story, he's the character that gets eaten by his own dogs.
This idiot has obviously never read a George R.R. Martin story, because he'd know it's NEVER over and in point of fact, the final book hasn't even been written yet. https://t.co/Yhdwc94dSq
