Twitter Explodes After Trump Calls His Secretary Of State ‘Dumb As A Rock’

Trump is anxiously awaiting Mueller’s latest filings in the Special Counsel investigation, and I do mean ANXIOUSLY. He had a full-fledged freakout today on Twitter and capped things off by trading insults with his former Secretary of State. Trump has been melting down on an almost daily basis, but this one seems panicky even for him.

Donald Trump kicked off another day with a very mellow Twitter rant about the Mueller investigation. It was loaded with both lies and typos, so you know it’s straight from the heart:

Mueller and Comey aren’t actually BFFs, they were co-workers but didn’t hang out on the weekends or anything. Also, the woman he’s talking about was lead attorney in one case involving the Clinton Foundation when she was at a private law firm.

Trump then focused his rage on Andrew Weissman, who was a successful organized crime and racketeering prosecutor (wonder why he’s so worried about that):

And Trump again brought up political contributions, which sadly for him do not change the facts of the investigation:

Rod Rosenstein, Trump’s favorite punching bag and the Republican he appointed as Deputy Attorney General, didn’t escape his ire either:

Towards the end of his tirade he was pretty much just shouting names into the wind:

After he tuckered himself out with all the yelling, Trump took a brief break to lie about the trade talks with China, which are not going well:

He then got right back to it with his most hilarious lie in a while:

I’m guessing Giuliani—who recently said he hasn’t started a counter report—freaked when he read “87 pages”—that’s a lot of lying to do! I don’t like to make predictions but I’m guessing they’ll try to hit that page number and then when their effort predictably flops, Trump will complain it was because it’s too long. That or they’ll just pretend he never said a page number and claim they didn’t need 87 pages to rebut Mueller. Either way, it’s a pretty funny lie!

Then, news broke Trump’s former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson confirmed what everyone else already knows—that Trump hates to read, is impulsive, has no core values, and tried to violate the law.

According to Tillerson, Trump “doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports, doesn’t like to get into the details of a lot of things but rather just kinda says, ‘Look, this is what I believe.”’ Tillerson also said Trump was a big baby about following the law (surely this guy with autocratic tendencies can’t be guilty of obstruction of justice, right?).

“When the president would say, ‘Here’s what I want to do, and here’s how I want to do it,’ I’d have to say to him, ‘Well Mr. President, I understand what you want to do but you can’t do it that way, it violates the law, it violates treaty,’” Tillerson said. “You know, he got really frustrated.”

Obviously a panicky Trump wasn’t going to let yet another piece of bad news hang out there without a response so he tweeted some insults:

Again, this is a guy Trump picked as his Secretary of State.

Anyway, to recap the day so far:

• Stock market declines because of Trumps’ trade war with China, erasing any gains for the year.
• Trump names a totally unqualified Fox News talking head as UN Ambassador.
• Trump insults his own former Secretary of State after he called Trump an ignorant, impulsive child.
• After testifying to Mueller, Trump’s Chief of Staff John Kelly is reportedly stepping down and the two haven’t been on speaking terms.
• Comey testified on the Hill.
• Mueller is about to file memos that allegedly say Manafort lied about President Trump not knowing about Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russians in Trump Tower.

Just another day in a totally normal administration.
