Trump’s spiritual advisor is as morally bankrupt as he is, and twice as stupid.
This grinning ghoul is Paula White, a woman most often described as “Donald Trump’s spiritual advisor” when she’s really just a low-level grifter (relative to the Grifter-in-Chief, that is).
Some of her past heists include boosting the first month of her most gullible followers’ salaries by threatening them with God’s holy wrath:
According to Newsweek,
“Donald Trump’s spiritual adviser has suggested that people send her money in order to transform their lives, or face divine consequences.
Paula White, who heads up the president’s evangelical advisory committee, suggested making a donation to her ministries to honor the religious principle of “first fruit,” which she said is the idea that all firsts belong to God, including the first harvest and, apparently, the first month of your salary.
“Right now I want you to click on that button, and I want you to honor God with his first fruits offering,” she said in a video shared to her website, in which she encourages her followers to donate to her ministries to get blessings from God.
“If God doesn’t divinely step in and intervene, I don’t know what you’re going to face—he does,” she said.”
You might imagine White, as a devout Christian, would be outraged over the Trump administration’s child internment policy, right? Well, dear reader, I hate to shock you like this, but she has absolutely no issue with it.
In a recent interview with the Christian Post, White talked about how “phenomenal” the child detention centers are. “They care for the children,” White said. “Not just three square meals, psychiatric care, clinician, medical care, chapel, events, schooling, language, and love.”
It’s got everything a child imprisoned against their will could want! (Except, you know, their parents.) Heck, we should be stripping even MORE children away, just so they can come visit the lovely baby jails!
When confronted with the notion that Jesus (the guy she’s ostensibly begging for money for) might have some issues with us stripping kids from their mothers and fathers, she repeated the lie that all the children are all trafficking victims (a very tiny percentage of the children separated at the border are trafficking victims). “If we are going to be compassionate. We have to have stricter border security and laws,” she said non-ironically.
When the interviewer for the Christian Post had the audacity to ask White about the Bible (specifically if there were any biblical passages that might have come to mind about the whole “kids in jails” thing) she changed the subject.
“I think so many people have taken biblical scriptures out of context on this, to say stuff like, ‘Well, Jesus was a refugee,’” White said. “Yes, He did live in Egypt for three-and-a-half years. But it was not illegal. If He had broken the law then He would have been sinful and He would not have been our Messiah.”
Ummmm… I really hate to break it to you Paula, but Jesus was DEFINITELY hassled by the New Testament version of the cops. I think it’s a pretty big part of his whole deal?
White’s completely moronic comments earned a nice round of mockery from everyone who didn’t forget the ending of Passion Of The Christ
Someone get this woman a bible with small words and big pictures.
