All Of These ‘Me Voting In 2016 Vs. Me Voting In 2018’ Memes Are Comedy Gold

Well, today is the big day: midterm elections. Which means everyone that’s eligible to vote needs to go do it, stat.

Take a quick gander at Twitter and you’ll sense that people are excited, positive, and yet…still apprehensive. After all, that last election, in 2016 (remember? It seems so far away now…), was quite a doozy, to say the least. And while the polls look good for Dems right now (according to FiveThirtyEight, they have a seven in eight chance of taking the House, leaving only a one in eight chance the Republicans will keep it), we’ve all learned not to trust the polls.

Look, it’s been a long two years. Things have changed. People are (hopefully) taking voting even more seriously than they did before. And people are also sharing memes on Twitter that compare how they felt when they voted in 2016 vs. how they feel about voting today. And they’re feeling all kinds of emotions about it.

Like a little beaten down, but definitely not out of the game.

Or completely cuckoo bananas.

And possibly ready to sell their souls to satan.

Or just ancient. My Lord, what two years can do to a person.

Hands up who feels exhausted?

But mostly, people are angry AF and ready for the good fight.

And people who couldn’t vote last time are making their voices heard loud and clear this time.

I cannot overstate how important it is that you make time to vote.

So get out there and do us proud!
