White Woman Who Grabbed Protest Sign From Black Woman Gets Punched In The Face

A white woman who inserted herself into a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Minneapolis, MN, found herself on the receiving end of a punch to the face when she snatched a protest sign out of the hands of a black protestor. The demonstration was in honor of Thurman Blevins, a 31-year-old black man who was shot to death in the same city on June 23 while running from cops who believed he was armed. The officers claimed a gun was found near Blevins’ body.

On July 30, CNN reported that the two white cops who were involved in the shooting of Blevins, Officer Justin Schmidt and Officer Ryan Kelly, would not face any charges. The officers’ body-cam footage of the chase was released to the public by the city. The video can be seen here but heads up, it’s obviously very graphic.

It’s unclear why the white woman snatched the sign in the first place, but it is clear that she got her ass handed to her. She would have continued to feel the rain of punches had it not been for another black woman in the crowd who held the first woman’s hands back.

After ingesting the knuckle sandwich, the white woman went crying to a police officer and can be heard wailing, “I didn’t do anything,” as the cop consoles her, reassuringly saying “I know.”

A man named Tariq Nasheed posted a shorter clip of the altercation at the demonstration on Twitter, sparking a ton of reactions from other users on the social media platform.

Neither of the women involved in the incident has been identified.
