Woman Tells Date She’s Trans And His Perfect Response Has People Saying ‘Marry Him’

While societal attitudes towards transgender people have evolved in recent years, we’ve still got quite a ways to go in terms of spreading awareness and acceptance and shutting down abuse.

Because trans people still have a much more difficult time with everyday activities, such as using public restrooms, walking down the street, and dating.

So when 23-year-old transgender woman Tiffany Monroe disclosed to a man she was messaging that she was trans, his encouraging and accepting response was applauded by folks across social media.

“I told this guy I was trans and look at his response,” wrote Monroe, alongside a screenshot of the pair’s interaction.

“Honestly I ain’t worried too much about that if that’s the case,” wrote the man. “You’re a woman and I ain’t gay so what you talking about exactly.”

“It’s 2019, I’m a grown man, your past shouldn’t matter like that,” he added.

The tweet quickly went viral, racking up over 124,000 likes, 16,000 retweets, and nearly 1,000 comments applauding the man’s perfect response.

Some on Twitter pointed out that we shouldn’t be praising behavior that, to be honest, should be expected out of everyone—but it’s still a beautiful example of the exact right thing to say, and ought to be noted as such.

Some shared their own struggles with being trans and/or having gender dysphoria.

Others wondered where to find these guys (a good question considering the many hateful, transphobic replies to Monroe’s tweet).

In conclusion, this man is a king and THIS is how you respond to someone telling you they are trans.
